ESTA or The Entertainment Services & Technology Association, was a non-profit North American association which represented professionals in the Entertainment technology industry. ESTA ran various technical standards programs which have resulted in standards such as E1.31.
In 2011, ESTA and PLASA announced a merger. The technical standards program is now known as PLASA Standards.
